Matsue City
A city of international culture, Matsue City is located in the eastern part of Shimane Prefecture. It is a city of water facing Shinji Lake and the Nakaumi Sea. The view of the sun setting over Shinji Lake is breathtaking. Matsue Castle’s tower offers a 360-degree view of Matsue City.

Tour route
Start at Matsue Station on the JR Sanin Line. English and Korean speaking members of staff are available at the Matsue International Tourist Information Office located in front of the station. This office is a good place to gather information on the area. It is just over one kilometer to Matsue Castle and Shinji Lake, so it is possible to walk or use a rental bicycle. There are hotels and restaurants around Matsue Station and the area is convenient for visitors.
