Saigo Port

Saigo port is located on Dogo island, the biggest island of the Oki islands, and is the only marine gateway to the island. It plays a crucial role as the base for logistics and the capital of the economy and culture of the Oki islands. The port flourished over a long period because its natural shape made it ideal for sailors. It was also used as the base for coastal fishing.   

The Oki Island Geopark Museum is located in the building right next to the port.
