On June 19 and 20, a special performance of Iwami Kagura from Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture will be held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo venue!
Iwami Kagura is a traditional performing art from western Shimane Prefecture, characterized by dynamic dances based on mythology.
The featured performance “Orochi” depicts the scene where Susanoo no Mikoto battles the great serpent, showcasing a breathtaking dance where 55 serpents fill the stage.
Please experience Shimane Prefecture’s traditional culture through the powerful dance of Hamada, the city that created Iwami Kagura.
