Update on Earthquake Information in Shimane (Status as of January 13, 2026)
On Tuesday, January 6th 2026, earthquake with a maximum JMA seismic intensity of 5+ was observed in Shimane Prefecture.
Most tourist facilities and hotels in Shimane are currently operating as usual.
There are no road closures/disruptions to public transportation due to the earthquake at this time.
