10,000 peony bulbs bloom brilliantly in May
Akana Peony Garden covers a substantial area of 1.4 ha, and from early to mid-May 10,000 bulbs made up of 180 varieties of peony compete to show off their large flowers. Because the garden is located in a cold upland area between mountains, the day and night temperatures differ substantially, which allows the peonies to bloom all the more beautifully and brilliantly.
