Iinan-cho Ohshimenawa Sousakukan is a museum that showcases the shimenawa culture that has been handed down in the of Iinan, for future generations. At the museum, it is possible to look around a workshop where shimenawa is produced and check out displays of related materials, and there is even a corner where you can actually try making shimenawa yourself. The facility allows you to fully absorb the appeal of Iinan, “the home of large shimenawa.”
