A large number of fine items with a wide variety of uses, from everyday items to gifts
Shussai Kiln is a folk craft kiln whose history begins with its founding in 1947. Under the guidance of leaders of Japan’s folk craft movement, the kiln was started based on the concept of seeking to produce items that would bring joy as tools for living. The kiln produces plates for everyday use, small bowls, bowls, egg cookers and other Japanese and Western tableware, as well as utensils used for serving or drinking sake, ashtrays, vases and other items. It has won numerous awards, including a Japan Folk Craft Association award. The kiln’s fine items would undoubtedly make welcome gifts also.
