Launched over Lake Shinji, fireworks light up the night sky as spectators watch from the shoreline. As the event is in the height of summer, spectators don their colorful yukatas to beat the summer heat. And this is also the time when food stalls line the streets that fill the air with the smell of the staple summer festival foods. *Ahh the smell of karaage chicken and yakisoba noodles…
This year’s fireworks extravaganza will take place over two nights featuring a drone show every night and 21,000 fireworks in total!
