SpecialRegional Cycling Collaboration Project of Tottori Prefecture, Shimane Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture and Ehime Prefecture

1 Overview
The four prefectures of Tottori, Shimane, Hiroshima and Ehime have agreed to work on regional tourism using cycling as their new regional collaboration. The regional routes are set to connect the cycling routes each prefecture recommends.

2 About the Route
A regional route to Dogo Onsen in Ehime Prefecture, from “Sanin Route“ between Mt. Daisen in Tottori Prefecture to Nakaumi, Shinjiko Lake through “Yamanami Kaido”, “Shimanami Kaido”. (total 380km)

●Sanin Route (total 70km)
Route connects Matsue Shinjiko Onsen by Shinjiko Lake, one of the best 100 sunsets in Japan, to Mt. Daisen with its over 1300years of history.
●Yamanami Kaido Route (total 187km)
Route to Onomichi through Chugoku Mountain Area from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen.
Various courses are set along the route.
●Shimanami Kaido Cycling Road (total 69.9km)
The “Mecca of cyclists”, connects Onomichi to Imabari with without much traffic, and efficient blue lines, safety sighs.
●Imabari-Dogo Hamakaze Sea Route (total 52.1km)
The course connects Imabari to Dogo, with very few ups and down along the Setouchi Inland Sea, gentle cycling feeling the sea breeze.
