A strangely-shaped rock that resembles a lizard scaling a cliff

areamap

Lizard Rock is one of the strangely-shaped rocks that Oki Islands UNESCO Global Geopark is known for. It looks just like a lizard scaling a sheer cliff! This “lizard” is 26-meters long from its “head” to the end of its “tail.” You can capture a view of Lizard Rock by following the Shizen-kaiki-no-mori Forest walking path from the car park at the end of Nakadani Forest Road for about 50m. If you walk a further 100m or so you will come across an observation deck and rest area where there is also an explanation board.
